The Michigan State Police Grand Rapids Post and Special Operations - Aviation Unit are grieving the loss of one of our own. Sgt. Matt Rogers was found unresponsive in his home on Sunday morning. Sgt. Rogers was a graduate of the 113th Trooper Recruit School serving at the Rockford Post, Wayland Post, Special Operations Division - Aviation Unit, Grand Rapids Post, and recently transferred back to the Special Operations Division - Aviation Unit as a pilot. Sgt. Rogers was a loving father, devoted friend, mentor, and dutiful community servant and will be missed by many.
